'Looking For Ghosts' documents the communities and people involved in the underground rave scene in Ireland. It consists of portraits and environments photographed after the party has ended. At dawn, as the day breaks and the music stops, the return to reality begins.
In the world of dance music and outdoor raves, people have the freedom to explore and express themselves, unbound by the constraints of contemporary society. And yet, a sense of community and spirituality is key to the underground rave experience. Events organised by young people in fields and forests away from the cities and commercial clubs are at once a rejection of and a search for values lost. The moments of transition photographed here are haunted by an uncertainty between ways of being.
